INSTALLATION

Let's face it.  Installing dryers is fairly easy.  However, improper ducting and other mistakes can be costly.

Poor ducting installation can lead to tremendous problems with dryer efficiency.  It can even lead to plant fires.  Every effort should be made to size your ducting properly.  Avoid horizontal runs, sharp angle turns and adding several dryers to one exhaust duct.

If you must have a horizontal duct section, add enough cleanouts so that this entire section can be cleaned.  Clean it regularly.  If you must add several dryers to one duct run, be sure to add back draft dampers for each dryer.  Otherwise, you'll be exhausting from one dryer to another - adding lint and moisture to that machine.

Ducting is best when using straight vertical runs.

Use knowledgeable people to remove and install your laundry equipment.  Yes, you can save money by doing the job, yourself, or by having the closest rigging company or contractor provide the service.  However, the larger the job, the more critical the need for experienced laundry equipment riggers and technicians, who can work in conjuction with your equipment supplier to determine the best rigging and installation methods.
